We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Student Recruitment and Outreach Officer. You will support the Student Recruitment and Outreach team in organising, delivering and evaluating outreach activities to achieve the University’s Access and Participation Plan and recruitment targets. This will involve developing in-school and online provision, including a range of workshops, activities and presentations to engage students, parents and teachers. You will have the opportunity to grow within a fast moving and professional Marketing and Student Recruitment team.
You will have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to motivate and communicate to young people. You will be involved from inception to delivery of your events, including managing a team of Student Ambassadors on the day. You must be able to undertake frequent local travel and some travel throughout the UK to work at events. A full clean driving licence is desirable and DBS clearance is essential. You must be prepared to work evenings and occasional weekends as required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:
- Implement the recruitment strategy for target markets across the UK
- Design interactive online and offline content for young people, families and teachers
- Deliver engaging presentations and workshops for a variety of stakeholders including prospective students, applicants and teachers
- Manage a network of contacts in schools and colleges to promote recruitment activities
- Effectively evaluate activities to track and monitor engagement from students
- Network with colleagues in other HEIs in respect of best practice with regards to student recruitment
- Attend recruitment fairs and provide accurate information on the University and its courses to prospective students
- Research trends and best practice across the UK education sector in order to inform our provision
- Provide professional advice to academic teams on their outreach activities including the appropriate targeting and evaluation of activities
- Maintain good data compliant with GDPR standards
- Follow safeguarding procedure and pass a DBS check
- Undertake any other responsibilities as required by the Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager
