We’re looking to hire an enthusiastic, creative and forward-thinking Digital Media Assistant dedicated to student recruitment to join the Digital Media Team at BNU. The team are responsible for the management of the digital portfolio of the University, with a particular focus on building brand awareness, and the acquisition and conversion of prospective students.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to take the next step in their career and who enjoys using a variety of digital marketing channels, including content management systems, social media platforms and analytical tools. As a confident self-starter, they will be able to liaise with colleagues and university stakeholders to support student recruitment activities and strategies. Computer literacy is essential, as is a flexible approach to work, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.

Job Purpose:

 

To work closely with the Marketing, Creative Studio and Recruitment teams, as well as schools and directorates to achieve BNU’s student recruitment targets and to raise the profile of the University with external stakeholders. To support the Digital Media Team managing and maintaining key digital channels for student recruitment such as the University’s website, social media profiles and paid advertising platforms.

 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:

  • To work with colleagues in the Marketing & Student Recruitment Directorate to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
  • To update and maintain the University’s website using a Content Management System.
  • To support the Digital Media Team’s annual website content plan, engagement and conversion activities.
  • To create engaging content and analyse its performance across social media channels.
  • To maintain a social media calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule. Scheduling and publishing social media posts using appropriate tools and platforms.
  • To assist with the set-up and management of paid digital marketing campaigns and website personalisation campaigns.
  • To assist with the development of new features and the enhancement of the user experience on the BNU website.
  • To assist with the maintenance and development of the university’s online chat platform (Unibuddy).
  • To facilitate website, social media and online chat training to colleagues across the University when required.
  • To assist with the implementation of SEO best practices.
  • To work closely with the Marketing team and our community of Student Ambassadors on content creation for BNU’s digital channels.
  • To ensure that all digital content is accurate, current and appropriate to the audience.
  • To ensure consistency of the BNU brand across all aspects of digital channels, ensuring that the University’s Brand Guidelines are followed.
  • To support the Marketing and Student Recruitment Directorate at promotional events such as open days when required.
  • To carry out any reasonable requests from the Senior Digital Media Manager commensurate to the grade of the post.
