This role will cover a variety of apprenticeship sectors working with employers as well as learners and liaising with our academic teams and compliance team. Ideally you will have some knowledge or experience of apprenticeships or HE provision.  We are looking for someone who can engage with learners, help them successfully navigate their apprenticeship journey making sure they stay compliant with funding rules. Providing advice, guidance and directing them to appropriate support with the University when needed. Contribute to open days, school, college and partnership links and the promotional work of the Hub. You will be based from our High Wycombe campus.

Responsible to:  Senior Apprenticeship Relationship Manager   

 

Responsible for:  All Apprenticeship provision

 

Job Purpose:

Employers and Learners

  • Develop relationships with Employers and sub-contractors regarding apprenticeship learning needs and ensure that compliance is in place.
  • To ensure a positive end to end learner experience, working in partnership with internal and external partners
  • Attending governance meetings and report on learners’ compliance
  • Timely problem resolution and escalation in response to employers’ and learners’ concerns
  • Data analysis of caseload performance and report to senior managers and employers
  • Direct collaboration with academic team to share information on learners’ performance and concerns

Wider University

  • Provide deputy leadership for the Senior Apprenticeship Relationship Manager as required
  • Build and maintain strong inter-departmental relationships and communication in order to work in collaboration with a variety of colleagues across the University
  • Full understanding of quality assurance processes of education within Higher Education
  • Involvement in all relevant university activities across all campuses

 

 

 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:

           

  • Track and manage Learner progression through partnership with the Employer, academic delivery team and with the support of the Hub to ensure an excellent standard is achieved.
  • Ensure that Learners receive regular tri-partite reviews, appropriate coaching and guidance on all Education Inspection Framework (EIF), related values such as Safeguarding, Prevent, Diversity & Inclusion and Fundamental British Values
  • Assist the Apprenticeship Hub in ensuring that Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted related initiatives and requirements are planned and delivered to a high standard.
  • Be an ambassador for BNU both internally and externally, communicating and promoting the strategic vision and aims of the University.
  • Support the identification of best practice and benchmarking activities with other services in the university to ensure continuous development of programmes.
  • Support the identification of best practice and benchmarking activities with other services in the university to ensure Total Quality Improvement (TAI) for all apprenticeship provisions.
  • Maintain high standards of work and professionalism at all times, particularly with regards to accuracy and presentation in written and verbal communication.
  • Contribute to open days, school, college and partnership links and the promotional work of the Hub.
  • Engage in appropriate professional development activities (e.g. CPD, attendance at conferences, webinars) relating to supporting apprenticeships.
  • To provide cover for or any other such reasonable duties as required by the Designated Manager on an ongoing basis.
  • Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (e.g., the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; Health and Safety; UKVI; and Equality and Diversity) in all working practices
  • Adhere to dynamic working policy i.e. attendance three days a week on the campus
  • Attendance on all extra activities such as Teams Away Day, Training days, or any other activities as required by business
